How I made a walnut waterfall bar from start to finish. Made with wood joints (large miters and splines) for a custom build. A 3/4 solid walnut top is plenty thick for a dining table top. You can build the apron like a ladder with extra cross rails to support a 4 ft wide top. This medium density wood is tough and hard. It has moderate bending and crushing strengths. Stiffness is low.
